Winter is kind of a funny time. As much as I want to hibernate and do very little, being in the house a lot always has me wanting to fix it up. We have all helped transform a room in our house from Olivia’s former playroom/turned Anime room into Three Charlies, a film studio/ family screening room named after the 3 men that my grandfather watched movies in his basement with every Wednesday night for as long as I can remember. So far we’ve set up a movie screen, a computer with Paul’s fancy printer and an area for shooting film/video. So far its inspired 2 impromptu mini photoshoots, the one above because my hair looked so huge when I brushed it out. I am excited to have a blank space in which things like this can happen at a moments notice. Paul is working on the basement and get that to be functional as a print shop. More to come on the above I’m sure.

Work in Progress

Finally went back into the large piece I started for subject/matr/mother. I feel like I’d been avoiding it a little, plus with all the holiday hoopla, it was really hard to find the time to dig in. Thankfully, I got to do that a bit over the last two days and am feeling ok about it. There are some things but I will work them out.

Upcoming Miscellany

I started, finished and cast a small piece the other day, in advance of Valentine’s day. I am debating my next steps with it. My first thought, aside from just selling casts as people to give as gifts, is to collaborate with other artists in them. Will see how that goes…
